it's a completely different case than either pulling people over or the oj
simpson case. in pulling people over, it's a matter of police thinking
someone must have done something wrong because of their profile (color of
their skin?). in the oj case, they knew someone did something wrong but not
who. the defense tried to show furmen made up evidence to point to the wrong
person who was black, and that furman was prejudiced against black people.

now the defense would have to create a perception that the police did more
than steal a glove from somebody's house and planted it. i think what
happened 10 years ago is irrelevant.
