Default Boynton?

Noticed Nick's name is missing from the list I just read on the Bruins
site - yet previously I thought he also needed to file or have some sort of
contract signed? Can someone who understand this better than I do please
clarify his status?

Thanks

Is Boynton arbitration eligible yet? Don't they have to be a certain age
and/or a certain number of years in the league to be able to file for
arbitration?

Nice bit of research! It must've just been a mistake in the article. He
didn't sign an extention during the season, did he? I don't remember it if
he did.

He quite possibly opted NOT to file for arbitration... could be because he's
already very close to signing a deal, or he's planning on holding out. I
hope it's the former.

The Caps weren't able to sign him before he was eligible to re-enter the
draft. It happens all the time. That's what Lindros threatened to do when
the Nordiques drafted him.
