Trust me, it did - those games weren't even as close as those lopsided
scores indicate. That was a rather disappointing end to a strong
several-year run by that Sonics team and a clear indicator that the Lakers
would be a championship team once they got everything sorted out. Shaq was
truly monster in that series and easily shut down an in-his-prime Vin Baker.

Great post Chris! You really summed up *today's* Payton nicely. I, for
one, appreciate the time you spent on this post.

Unfortunately for C's fans, The Lakers are going to be very tough to
beat, even if Kobe doesn't play. When you can get Malone to sign for a
million, other teams are junked in my opinion. That's why I hate the
salary cap. It favors warm weather cities.
