Are there any MLB players who have never been in a slump?

Nomar is the worst clutch hitter on the team this year. To pick him as
AL MVP is ridiculous. The guy is a .230 hitter with RISP. That is
definetly not MVP material.

This is the 2nd year in a row his swing has been off. popout after
popout after popout.
Maybe Mia has ruined him.

Nomar has had several peaks and valleys, this season and in past
seasons. This latest slump hasn't been as long as it might seem. It
looks to me like he's stepping out a little bit. But I actually think
he had some real good swings tonight. His flyout to center in the
sixth was a blast (on a good pitch). Colon jammed him nicely in the
8th. But I think he's ready to go on a tear.

There's no such thing as a clutch hitter. I know it seems like
certain hitters almost always succeed in clutch situations, and other
hitters continually fail, but that's just not the case.

Nomar has come through many times in clutch at-bats, and he will come
through many more times in the future. I'm just as frustrated as
anyone with his recent lack of production in those situations, but I'm
not so ignorant or short-sighted to say he "really isn't a clutch
hitter".

I think he's referring to Nomar's avg with RISP and 2 outs, where it's .234
(see ESPN.com batting stats). with RISP/2 out, Nomar is second to last among
everyday players on the team (Damon's avg is .190). with RISP (regardless of
outs), he's hitting .280; only Ortiz (.276) and Damon (.274) are worse. with
the bases loaded, Nomar is hitting a brutal .200, ahead of only Varitek.

My kids have a nick name for all the Red Sox players..

Manny "The Man" Raveira
Jason "very good" Veritek
Johnny "Wolfman" Damon
and a few more..unfortunatly lately they have labeled Nomar "the choker"
Garciapara. Any time he gets up in a situation with runner in scoring position
he either strikes out or pops up,

We need him to start hitting or this team is not going to make the playoffs or
go anywhere in them,

Manny "The Man" Raveira? Is he our closer?

To begin.. To begin... How to start? I'm hungry. I should get coffee. Coffee would help me think. Maybe I should write something first, then reward myself with coffee. Coffee and a muffin. So I need to establish the themes. Maybe a banana nut. That's a good muffin.
