Leonard over Hagler and Spinks over Holmes were upsets, but only minor
ones. I don't think the odds were even more than 3-1.

Much bigger ones were:

Clay over Liston
Braddock over Baer
Honeyghan over Curry
McCall over Lewis

I pick my bets very carefully. I don't bet on most fights. I always
bet on who I think will win not on who I personally want to win. The
last one I lost was Norton over Ali when I was 13 in 1973. (Who knew?
I thought Ali was a sure thing in that one.) I got even odds though
here in San Diego. I was at the fight too, upper level at the San
Diego Sports Arena. Even here in San Diego the crowd was half for Ali.

Amusing to see isaiah still posting bullshit as fact. It's that type
of weak intellect that is responsible for most of the f*cked up aspects of this
world.
If I ever meet isaiah, I'll have a duty to castrate him. I'm sure
someone will get to it, first...

The three last fights should take a back seat to Clay-Liston I, and
even to Tunney-Dempsey I.

According to the Ring record book, the odds were 3-1 for Foreman. A
sportswriters poll had an even split. It was a huge fight, no doubt,
but it was not as large an upset as it's now portrayed. That's a fact.

That makes for a better story but Ali had many supporters at the time.
