should there even be a featherweight?
Well this is obviously bait but here goes:
I wouldn't advise you to ever get in the ring with some of those "playground
kids" cause they'll tear you a
new ass. :- )
Lots of people who don't really appreciate boxing think that way however and
they are the very ones that never stop harping about heavyweights for one
minute here. Lewis this , Tyson that - on and on.
Weight is a relative thing anyway. Unless one of the fighters was 178 lbs
you would have no way of knowing they are lighterweight guys. When I watch
them fight I am just watching two boxers who could be unbelievably fast
heavyweights for all you know because there's no one bigger there to compare
them to. Lots of people are hung up on the *bigger is better* idealism, and
while *bigger is better* may be true at McDonalds, it just doesn't hold
water in boxing.
Those guys may be small in size compared the heavies but they are big at
heart and that's what means most in boxing.
