OK we won. But for some reason, I just don't seem to care. Maybe I was bored
and just wanted it to end already.

This is Kris, remember? Same guy that gave up watching this horrible Sabres
team at least 4 or 5 times over the course of 82 games. He'll bounce back.

Heh heh, Kevin's right. I feel good today ! Man what a game. Some random
thoughts :

* I wish Campbell let up a little.

* The NHL should do away with plastic body armor for the elbows and
shoulders and develop something that reduces players getting knocked out.

* Grier was awesome last night.

* Connolly is the best player in NHL history at somehow keeping the puck in
at the point during a power play.

* Esche was great (from the 3rd period on - the 1st two it seemed like we
made him look good by shooting into his chest) but Miller had to make a
couple of game savers as well. I remember one time when Gagne let one loose
from the right faceoff dot to the stick side and I thought "this is the one
that ends it" and somehow, Miller made the save and made it look easy.

* Oh what a difference Teppo and Jochen make to this team.

* Lydman made a few Aki Berg-like plays out there - that's not a good thing.

* Our first goal shouldn't have counted. Kotalik hooked Forsberg enough so
Connolly could take advantage.

* Our power play looked nervous. They passed it around nicely at times, but
a lot of the time, the puck would jump over the stick. Also, their shot
selection wasn't like the regular season. I'm sure all of these things will
work themselves out next time. We're NOT going 0-for-whatever next game.

* I'm sure Hitch**** will bench Brashear. What a waste of a spot. They
should put in somebody, anybody else. They can't be worse than Brashear.
Hopefully, Hitch is too stubborn to get him out of there. They can't roll
four lines like we can with Brashear in their lineup.
