I find many things interesting about Krause's new job with
the Yanks but the two most obvious ones are: For a guy
with six rings supposedly on his resume the silence coming
from other NBA teams was deafening. And if he was willing
to work in baseball why wouldn't Reinsdorf have offered him
some kind of "work" with the White Sox??

Two possibilities:

(1) Jerry didn't resign for health reasons. He was forced
out by Reinsdorf.

(2) The five constants of the Bulls chmapionships were Jordan,
Pippen, Jackson, Reinsdorf, and Krause. Through his shrewd
drafts and free agenb signings over the past six years and
the successful tenures of coaches Floyd and Cartwright, Krause
has categorically demonstrated that the first three guys were,
in reality, bit players. The credit belongs to either
Reinsdorf or Krause. If the Yankees win a championship before
the Bulls or White Sox, logic will force us to admit that
Krause was the mastermind he always said he was.

I think that reality has finally smacked "The Sleuth" right in the
face and he wants to get as far away from basketball as he can. He
will forever be remembered as the man who singlehandely destroyed a
dynasty and created an expansion team in it's place.
