Have we FINALLY found our 3rd baseman?

I think we should lobby the NL to adopt the DH so that Mr. Hands of
Stone isn't any more of a liability. Nice play on the bases-loaded
chopper tho. But you gotta admit your heart was in your throat when you
saw whom the ball was going towards.

Matthews has over worked Gonzo who wants to pull everything and his yanking
his shoulder and head. Until he adjusts and decides to drive the ball to
right field we should be grateful for his steady glove.

If we go into next year with Gonzo as our starting SS we will know there is
no hope. Sure the glove is fine but I bet we can find that easily. Lets get
rid of the black hole that is his bat.

Unless the Cubs can teach him how to field - in the long run he will be a
disaster. I don't think I've ever seen a worse fielding third baseman in my
life. I am terrified everytime the ball is hit to him.

As for Gonzalez, he's an average ss and the team can definitely do better. If
you take away those game winning homeruns, his contributions are minimal. His
inability to get his bat on the ball kill the team.

get Pedro Guererro to play 3B. I mean, how could anyone forget the immortal
exchange between Pete and the Dodgers' beat reporter soon after the change:

"What do you think about when you're out there?"

How many RBI's does Ramirez have since coming over? How many have been
critical ones?

He scored the game-tying run in the 14 inning affair and hit the game
winner. There have been others also.

How many errors has Ramirez made that have cost the Cubs a game? I count
zero so far...although he has booted a few...

I don't understand why Baker didn't bring in Ojeda as a defensive replacement
in the ninth. Last night's scenario is exactly why he's up with the club. I
think Baker goofed and it almost cost him big-time.
