That's OK, this little game is MUCH more popular over in the other
forum... we had 10 votes the first day, 13 the second, 16 last
night... it's likely that we'll have 20 different scorecards per day
in the not too distant future...

You just throw out ideas sometimes, and hope that folks like some of
them... apparently, I missed on this one...

That's still better than ol' Trav, who seems to be incapable of
contributing on a positive level... all he seems to be able to do is
criticize the efforts of others... as the old saying goes, a cynic
like Trav is a guy who knows the price of everything, and the value of
nothing...

Where is that other forum Bear. I was reading them.

They just changed names, from Cowboy Update to the SilverStar Digest...
I don't have a link handy, but if you go to Yahoo and type Cowboy Update
into the search engine, the first link will be the one you're looking
for...

Then, click on "Message Boards", which will take you to a list of
boards, the three main ones being the Ranch, the Saloon, and the Smack
the Skins board... the first is for football talk, the second for
anything off-topic (and sometimes, a football thread that has
degenerated into a flame fest), and the third is pretty much
self-explanatory... the Ranch is the forum you want, for the current
day's voting, and one of the moderators has moved previous days' voting
to the Saloon...

The thread is titled the same as in here, "The Quincy/Chad "Boxing"
Scorecard, Round X"...

It's a pretty good forum, actually, though this is always gonna be home,
LOL... if you like what you see in there, you can sign up for nothing
and join in the festivities... it's moderated, so it's just a little
less vulgar than in here... not to worry, you'll quickly figure out how
to get around the cuss filter... and the moderators tend to be right
tolerant... will has posted in there, first as "mancrushonsimms", then
as "bushwacker", but he hasn't been in there for a while...

If you do wander in there, I'm Silverbear, and I just hit 5000 posts in
there yesterday (in 18 months of participation)...

One nice thing about the Ranch is that a few of the guys in there make a
point of hunting down every article they can find on the Cowboys each
day, and post them in there... I haven't been in the Cowboys' official
website, the DMN site or the FWST site in months now... no need, all
their articles show up in the Ranch... it has simplified my websurfing
some...

BTW, Doc, if you're up for voting when you get over there, jump right
in... you'll find that the folks in there have been treating these
threads as a flame-free zone, and it's probably the most reasonable and
rational discussion of the great quarterback controversy that I've
encountered... I'm really pleased with how it's been received, because
the hostility was quite poisonous between the two factions as recently
as a week ago...

Of course, there are other threads on the subject that aren't QUITE so
civil, LOL... and I have been known to offer a timid opinion in those
threads, too...

One word of warning, though-- I will expect you to be properly awed at
my avatar, it's really quite impressive...

Well, it doesn't make much sense to keep it going when only one or two
guys beside me are voting... that's not a complaint, it's entirely cool
if it didn't get off the ground...

I've already posted instructions how any interested party can watch how
the game plays out on that other forum, or participate in it if they so
desire... anybody can join at any stage of the game they care to, we
figure the more votes we get, the better chance we have of arriving at a
fair grade...

I'm not saying that anybody should give up on the newsgroup, this is
still a great place to hang... but if you have just a little extra time,
the dynamics on that board are pretty entertaining too... the Saloon can
get downright weird at times; the most legendary thread is the "Yummiest
Actress" thread, which is of course a series of of pics of your average
everyday Salma Hayeks and the like...

It's currently roughly 1100 posts strong, LOL... and over on the Smack
board, I was deemed a Zen Master of Flameology when I ran off one
pissant, and subsequently founded the cult of Ossoism... I even have a
Redskins fan as a disciple, the Apostle Bondi...

All they're missing is a good Monty Python thread, perhaps some of y'all
could help show them the way, LOL...

BTW, it is good to know that some of y'all were watching with interest,
I'm a little less discouraged...

BTW, it will be easy to find the threads, as the moderator has
"sticky-ed" them so that they appear at the top of each page of the
Ranch... the previous days have the "sticky" removed when they're moved
to the Saloon...

Be careful, Barry... be very, very careful... if there's one thing that
I never, ever joke about, it's Salma...

I feel about Salma the same way you feel about barbeque...

Well, shoot. I'm gonna be out of town the next four days, and was gonna
give Quincy four straight 10-7 scores in advance, just to see if Trav's
blood pressure would spike at 300/250 upon reading them.
