Antoine Walker - Predictions.
That's unfortunate for YOU. Most of US are happy even if we end up with a
worse record this year. We have a chance to see TEAM basketball, not Pierce
and Antoine dominating almost every play down the court.
Sorry to hear it was that much of a bummer. On a personal level, I thought
he was an okay kind of guy. He has passion for the game. As another poster
I agree. This should be a great trade for the Mavs. I only have one
question. If he's so good, then why do give kudos to Cuban and Nelson for
taking a RISK. He's been your man for 8 years. This trade shouldn't be a
risk. Or, is something about Antoine's past play, that's telling you things
may not turn out well?
I'd like to see them win 50. But, if they are going to lose, I would prefer
it be closer to 20 wins not 30. That may give them a higher slot for the
top lotto pick. Wouldn't it be something though, if Dallas ends up being a
lotto team this year. Heck, these guys all make at least $10 million/year.
Injuries are bound to crop up and we know what can happen to Red Sox players
when they get those huge contracts. This may be the slide year for one or
more of these guys. Although, I wouldn't bet on it.
Most of us are willing to take our chances and are on Danny's side on this
trade even if Lafrentz is soft in the middle. He's looked okay so far. We
may be taking a step or two backwards, but we weren't going anywhere
anyways. So, this was a great time to change directions.
'Deep into the playoffs' for the Mavericks? Does that mean they'll get past
the first round. As for triple doubles, Baker had numerous triple doubles
last year:>) He didn't play any better. Hopefully, this year he won't have any.
To be honest, If I were making $14 million a year, I'd be happy to pass the
ball to anyone.. even you. And, I'd be happy as you know what doing it. I'm
not proud.
More than six assists? You are under-estimating. He'll have a lot more
than that. Those guys can scorch the torch with the way they shoot. If he
only has 6 assists a game, he won't be playing.
They'll have to be mostly lay-ups. 'cuz from 15 feet, he can't shoot 42%
practicing in the gym alone. The Adjusted Field Goal %? He won't be
hoisting up 7 three's a game. So, there'll won't be that adjustment factor
this year. (You know, just thinking about how he took us out of so many
games when we had a considerable lead and kept throwing them up, makes me
mad. Didn't this ever bother you? Just once?)
I don't watch much college ball. So, can't say I remember that team. Who
else did they have besides Walter and Delk?
Dallas had a great team before Antoine got there. I really wonder how much
of an impact he will have. From what I've read, they haven't looked all
that good in pre-season. They'll adjust. I am sure.
It's only natural his stats should improve, but if they don't, then what?
He's now competing for minutes with Jamison. Many believe he's the better
player. Can Walker play second fiddle, knowing it will cost him on the
financial end in the long run.
Yes, they'll be nights the fans will love him. And, they'll be nights when
they'll be cursing Cuban for making this trade. Hopefully, for him and the
team this won't happen very often.
Sorry, to hear you are bummed out about the trade. To be honest, I would
prefer Dallas win the NBA title next year over the Lakers and Antoine
average 20 points a game shooting 50% or higher. I just don't think it's
going to happen.
Just curious, if the Celtics win it all, is there any chance you'll put a
Pierce or Banks tattoo somewhere on the other thigh?
