Ok, well it's better than giving up two to St. Louis, but does it help us
any? A win would have been ideal, but a tie is better than losing a 4
pointer.

For some reason, since the Nedved trade, I've got a renewed optimism....
probably just setting myself up for a big fall.

If Salo had been between the pipes, it would have been all over in
the 1st.

Jussi looked really good. In fact he looked 1000% better than Salo.
No flippity belly flop swimming thing going on. What a treat to see a
goalie on this team playing with authority!

Funny, I just said exactly that in another thread. We both used the
*swimming* term simultaneously- LOL.
Jussi was fantastic and the difference in competence between the 2 goalies
is SO obvious isn't it?

yah we played great for 3 periods but the OT was disappointing. it was like
we were trying to play for the tie. Someone remind macT we are 6 points
outta 8th. we needed 2 pts. A guy like hemksy can make the different in
OT if hes not being benched

The whole problem is St Loo can put the likes of Tkachuk, Weight, Demitra,
Pronger, out there 4-on-4 and were screwed period. No way a team with our
talent level can easily compete with that world class line up.
Hemskys relative position on the team has changed with the addition of
Nedved. Its right to put Smyths line and Nedveds line out there in OT.
Hemsky, you'll remember is sometimes awful in his own zone and makes plays
that could give any coach nightmares. He shouldn't be out 4-on-4 against
such talent.

I don't think you can blame that OT performance on MacT. St Loo just came
out harder than the Oil.

Blame the players, if anyone.

What I want to know is how Osshit I mean Osgoode always looks like Ken
Dryden when he plays against us? One fewer game to work with and no ground
made up, anyone else hear that clock ticking? It's never a good thing when
you don't control your own destiny.
