Default Olympic Commercials

If you've been watching any Olympic coverage you've probably seen some
of the stupidest commercials that have aired for a while. There is a
series of milk commercials
where a ‘little blue cow' enters is victorious in various events. This
is stupid for two reasons:
1) It's Canadian and it wins. (what psycho-supplements were those
creators on?)

2) The cow is WHITE!

Then there are several ridiculous Air Canada commercials. Why is
financial impoverished AC spending millions on absolutely irrelevant
Olympic TV spots?
The goofiest shows cyclist Steven Davis experience gear problems when
an old Greek woman gives him a can of olive oil (the untold back
story is that the 2 slept together the night before and because the
withered old bitch's pussy was drier than a pebble beach bunker they
had to use olive oil as a lubricant. It's the only score the Canadians
were going to get.) The claim is that it is to be used for the faulty
gears. However, it's really a memento for their evening of carnal
indulgence. This is obvious because the callus rider doesn't pour the
oil on the gears located on the left side of the bike he pours it on
the ground at the right side.

Not to mention the McDonald's commercials that are exactly like the
little blue/white cow commercials. Ronald the clown dominates all sports
- just fucking stupid.

I find the break-dancing gymnast to be the most annoying AC commercial.

I was actually admiring the Royal Bank's Air Force team of '47 ad today. It
trades on patriotism, as well as a sense of history and wartime achievement
(even though it occurred after the war, it's definitely playing on that
whole "Lost Generation" thing). Maybe nobody agrees, but if it's true, I
think it's an admirable claim to be the oldest Olympic sponsor in the
country. I'm not saying it's a work of artistic brilliance, not that the
Royal Bank is generally an admirable institutions. However, it conveys its
message effectively and generates goodwill about the company, which is what
an ad of this sort is supposed to do. DB.

Well it's not like the Feds are gonna cough up any dough for any aspect of
the Games, other than using it as the perfect summer junket.
I mean really, the number of our officials equals our athletes? The CBC
contingent OUTnumbers our athletes (and yet I have to turn to TSN for live
overnight coverage).
We have to get our shit together and give our athletes the support and
respect they deserve. The perfect place to start is a Minister of Sport who
realizes that yes, as a matter of fact, it IS about the fucking medals!

What is stupid is the twits watching this sad excuse of an event that is
only driven by performance enhancing drugs, scandal, and the wasteful
spending of money by countries that can't afford education, health care, or
social services but can afford this shit.

I haven't seen those dumbfuck ads and I won't as I will not watch the games.
I would sooner go fishing, drink beer, and ride the ole lady!...pass the
olive oil Katherine!

But the goverment IS spending huge cash espousing the creativity of
Air Canada?
Isn't that the miserably run airline whose miopic visionaries ran it
into the ground, literaly. These guys are showing their inventiveness
by have a diver miss his triple gainer and join a synchro swim team. I
guess he found his calling. The only thing missing was his tutu.
