Trade Smith for an offensive defenceman?

What do you think about that? There seem to be more than a handful of teams
looking for a stay at home, solid D-man. Given that Smith's contract is up
and he'll be unrestricted (and we'll lose him anyways), maybe Lowe should
try to deal him for someone who can add some punch to the power play....

I just don't know who... thoughts?

I'd hope that we'd be able to get someone better than that. Kaberle is a
bit of a softy.

Naw, I'm serious. Smith is gone after this year... so why not try to parlay
him into someone that scores and could help on special teams? We've already
got a couple of studs back there that are much cheaper: Ulanov and Semenov.

I can't help but think that our PP has suffered since Janne was shown the
door.
