Well thank goodness for Garon stopping well over 40 shots in getting that
win for Montreal....So now with St. Louis beating the Isles(can't count on
them for anything) that puts the pressure on the Oilers to get the job done
in Chicago.....I will tell you right now they had better not settle for
anything but a big WIN....ties from here on in does this team no good...this
team has 15 games to go...7 games on the road and 8 @ Rexall...whatever way
you look at it they have to win the majority of their games left and hope
for let downs by St. Louis, L.A. and maybe Calgary...so Boys get those
sticks red hot for this last month of hockey.

L.A. and Nashville lost too. The Oiler players have to make statement today
that they want to be in the playoffs.

A tie will give us 1 point, but it would be devastating to the club psyche.
In order to prove to management and the fans, the players have got to lock
down two points.

On a somewhat related note... who's going to be in goal today? Markk or
Salo?

Have a feeling that he'll come back with Salo......he might go with
Markkanen if he things Salo needs the extra break.

Strange game in LA. Montreal were absolutely dominated and won. A really
awful performance and their attention to D was frightening. I kept thinking:
How is it that this team is in the playoffs?
Conversely in Long Island St Louis is outshot 41-18 and somehow get the win.
Hockey can be an odd game. Overall good results for us last night and its up
to us now. Next two are MUST wins. Well they almost all are but you know aht I mean......
