Looks like York will play in Chicago tomorrow. This gives us the unique
problem of who draws out. Suddenly were loaded at Center. Haven't had that
problem all year. How quickly things change!
Really is amazing that we are .500 what with all the problems and injuries
particularly at the key center position and with Conks out. Kudos to the
unsung contributions of Horcoff who never gets any credit and has been great
with Smyth at a critical time. Stoll also deserves massive credit for taking
on so much of an unexpected role this early in his career and Bishai for
stepping in. ALL the players really deserve some credit IMHO for competing
well in the face of adversity since January. Lets hope we keep Salo out so
we can make a run.

Re: ESPN fan satisfaction survey I would say that if Edmontonians are
*happy* with the OIL then fans of other Pro sports teams must be more
inclined to dip the players, coaches, management, owners in tar, roll them in
feathers, and dog shit and take them to the town square for an ol fashioned
public flogging

I read that York can play the wing if needed. Back on the Rangers, did
York, Dvorak, and Nerved ever play together?

He's been called worse in NY, mind you everybody has.........<G>.
AFAIK York has not played much with the two.
I don't think it matters as Torres is the PERFECT fit from what I saw. These
two need someone whos gonna grind and go in the corners for them and we
don't have many players like that who have the surprising hands of Torres.
Good call by MacT for putting that line out there. Devo and Nedved are a no
brainer but it makes sense to keep Torres in there also because he has
played a lot with Devo already. If we rearrange this line in any way we will
DESTROY chemistry. Nedved would not fit quickly with any of the other lines
just cuz its too late, and vital in the season to have any *adjustment* or
fitting in time. Kudos to Lowe and MacT for having the foresight to realize
that Nedved, and this line, could click immediately. I was REALLY impressed
with that line.

Absolutely... I'd love to see this line firing on all cylinders.

i agree. after only a handful of shifts i found myself thinking "jeez,
these guys (the dvo/nedved/raffi line) look really dangerous together"...

can only get better too - dvorak was probably a little too eager to get
nedved the puck. give them a few practices together, everyone calms down
a little, and things should fall into place.

It was amazing they played so well without one practice. All they had is the
morning skate. I don't think Torres will hold them back either. Czech's are
really good at creating imaginitive scoring chances and Torres has good
enough hands and savvy for knowing where to be that he could benefit from
that.

Could someone list out what the line combinations were for today's game (vs
Chicago) please?
