ALLEN PARK, Mich., Aug. 4 (UPI) -- The Detroit Lions on
Monday signed starting fullback Cory Schlesinger to a two-year
contract extension.
Schlesinger, 31, has spent his entire eight-year career with
the Lions and has been a starter since 1999.
Schlesinger fits new coach Steve Mariucci's mold as a
blocker-receiver at the position, catching 95 passes for 729 yards
over the last two seasons.
