Rob Reischel, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports the Green Bay
Packers would likely make a strong push for free agent and former Packer
WR Antonio Freeman (Eagles). That push would come if either Packers WRs
Javon Walker or Robert Ferguson flop in camp or if any of the Packers'
top three wideouts suffer a pre-season injury.

in the early 1970s Lamar Hunt made a similar comment about George
Blanda.

So would I, as long as Free came in expecting to have to battle to get the 3rd
spot. Free now seems to know that he is not viewed as a star by anyone in the
NFL any more and seemed to work hard with the Iggles.

I'd say, bring him as long as he understands that what he's fighting for, to
begin with, is a roster spot. If he's still good enough to grab the #3 spot,
fine, but no guarantees. *JAG* status coming in...
