Default OP-ED on the ESPN Studio Idiots, Ron Artest and the Pacers who Screwed it all up.

You are all a bunch of hypocrites

The ESPN Crew called Artest what he is (a mentally challenged moron) last
week. Today he was "defending himself from an attack". An attack carried out
with a soft-pitched style cup of fluid, that had obviously ended with
nothing hurt but ego. Since he didn't know who actually lobbed this attack,
according to the repulsive studio commentating butt buddies, it gave Artest
a free pass to pick and choose whom he would carry out this defense on and
bravely march into the stands.

It was also OK according to these same studio commentators, for other morons
on the Pacers to go into battle with their brethren because they are after
all family-like. But the fans of any sports franchise are also family-like
and they will most certainly do battle when their own brethren are being
assaulted at random on a psychopath's hunch. This psychotic of course set
the ensuing riot in motion and according to all the butt buddies in the
studio was the right thing to do.

One of these studio commentators repeatedly claimed with machismo "if he was
walking through Grand Central Station and someone assaulted him with a beer
he'd do the same thing". Well of course that's a paraphrase but whom is this
idiot kidding. What he'd really do is look for a cop, have him or her
arrested and then call his lawyer. These ****ing elitists can kiss my ass.
You want law and order you let the law take care of it for order. You don't
go inciting a ****ing riot over spilled beer especially with all the kids
around.

I heard these idiots continue being apologists for riot provoking psycho-boy
defending his honor when he just failed to do so with big Ben Wallace. The
favorite reason of theirs being was the Pacers were really taking it bad
from the crowd all game, yet their illusional crack reporting with all its
updates could specify what was so different this game than any other NBA
game. If it was so bad why was it that the psycho-boy himself the only one
apparently affected to the point attacking any OLE fan randomly. Why wasn't
it that Artest or any other number of the Pacers squad going after the
individuals whom had been so relentlessly viscous throughout the game being
sought so they could defend themselves against this new form of evil-doer
terrorism? I'll tell you why folks, it is all a bunch apologist horse shit.

All present at the game knew their boundaries. If Artest never crosses his
to decide whom he gets to defend himself against there is no riotous
incident. If Artest defended himself and his honor against a known threat,
Ben Wallace, he would had been getting some time off to promote his Rap CD
after leaving the hospital of course. And Ben would have had his also. It
also appeared that Ben wanted the consequences also. You see this apologetic
"defending himself" line is all bull.

So here we are trying to wade though all the butt buddy apologist cesspool
propaganda so people can be held accountable for their actions and accept
those consequences without the apologist players union rearing its ugly
head.

NOTE to Artest:

Do not think you are going to get the necessary amount of jurors to believe
you were defending yourself by going up into the stands to selectively guess
who had thrown some fluid on you, inciting a riot while you proceed to
pummel them "defending yourself".

HAHA, you are kidding right? I hate Artest, I think he is the biggest jerk
in the NBA (and with so many, hard to win that one). But give me a break,
it was the moronic Piston's fans who started this. Artest was attacked by
the coward Wallace and actually showed restraint (I give him credit) and
then the fans throw stuff at him? I don't blame him for doing it. Sure, he
still should have let it go but I can't blame him for going after the idiot
fan. I think Detroit should be embarrased about it's fans showing their
true colors. And this was not 2 or 3 fans, it was most of them, while their
kids are watching this. Good job Detroit...

Let mew ask you something. Are you kidding? Why the hell was Artest lying on
the scorers table like he was taking an afternoon nap. He was asking for it.
He should have been escorted to his bench. There is no way you can tell me
that Atrest' physical well being was anywhere near being in danger by a
plastic cup of beer.
I'm a Knick fan if anyone cares.

Artest, and many NBA players are nothing but thugs. They have no self
control. Even pro wrestlers don't go into the crowd when they get dumped on.

I tried to watch ESPN News to get the latest on the opening night of College
hoops...and all I got for a solid hour was the fight footage , and the
announcers who laid 100 percent of the blame on the fans.....and as much
gave the players carte-blanche for doing whatever they should to "protect"
themselves. After ESPN/Disney has shoveled tons of money at the nba to air
these games.

Any fan who throws debris on the court, field track, whatever, should be
banned for life from the arena.

But if you are a professional athlete, you are obliged to have a higher
standard of conduct and self restraint (...well, if your a thug player
reading this, I've probably gone way over your head by now, but thats your
problem)

So laying on the table was threatening the fans? Only a knicks fan would
come up with that whopper. Good one. Yeah, I guess that give the fans a
legit excuse in your mind to throw things like that and not expect any
repercussions. That is rich.

And getting hit by the cup gives Artest the right to pick out the fan du
jour? He wasn't even the guy that threw it unless he is really The Flash
with the speed he ran to a different section of the stands. BTW, the biggest
asshole in this whole thing goes to Jermain O'Neal for going after the fan
who came to the aide of the guy Aretst was beating senseless (not that this
moron didn't deserve it). The should change NBA to NBGA. National Basketball
Gang Assoc.

You really should watch the whole thing from beginning to end. Ok, by your
standards, fans are blameless. Ok.

The fans aren't blameless, but IMO, what Artest and Jackson did goes so far
beyond anything the fans did it makes the tossing of the beer cup akin to my
two girls fighting over who holds the puppy. Wallace, Jackson, Artest,
O'Neal. Hey, maybe we can get Vernon Maxwell to come out of retirement to be
the 5th. This team could probably go to the finals.

That gives the fan absolutely NO RIGHT to throw anything at a player. The
fan who did it should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

And what is the jusitification for the fan who instigated the melee?

You're a knick fan? In a Knicks newsgroup? Who'd thunk it???

The fan that threw the beer should have been ejected and banned from any
future events in The Palace. But what Artest does for a living is a
privillige. There is no reason for him to go after the people who enable him
to be a punk millionare. Also he didn't even hit the right guy.

There is no justification, but it should have ended there. Artest caused the mob scene.

This is x-posted to about 7 NG genius.
