If Dan Evans trades Odalis Perez (a whiny but decent pitcher) for Paul
Konerko (a 1st baseman who sometimes hits and makes 8 million dollars)...he
would have to be fired immediately, and will probably be hired by his old
employer the White Sox in gratitude for helping them dump salary.

Paul Konerko stinks. He had 2 good seasons and at the age of around 30,
he's washed up already. His stats for the upcoming season will be .252 BA,
63 RBIs, 18 HRs...is that worth 8-9 million?

Maybe with Albert Belle making 12 mil last year, Darren Dreifort 11 million
last year, Kevin Appier making 12 million this year, you may have an
argument.
