same thing was said of woman in "To Kill a Mockingbird"

Only reason I brought that up is to remind y'all of yet another
prototype that could explain things. So far, they are:

1) Famous athlete thinks he can get over on anybody, attacks young girl,
fails at shutting her up. Uses money and power to snow her under.

2) Golddigger seeks out famous athlete to trap him. Tries to wheedle
big settlement out of guy.

3) White girl goes for black guy, then regrets it later & cries ****.

All three of these scenarios have happened, more than once. In fact, #3
is by far the most prevalent (in our history, at least).

Plus the fact that Eagle county has an African-American population of 0.3%.

It wasn't an entourage, it was a team of bodyguards.

That really means nothing.

The fact that he submitted DNA before he was even arrested possibly
shows he was positive of his innocence.

And everyone who defends Kobe says how "credible" he is. Obviously, one
of the two camps is wrong about the person they are defending. Which
brings us to who had a lot more to lose from this occuring.

Supposedly he was submitting his DNA.

The article I read quoted the cabbie as saying he was limping when he
entered the cab. I don't know where you got the idea of him running.

12 hours after the accusation and a few hours after the police
confronted him. This was not 12 hours after the supposed "assault."

"But the younger seasonal staff were starstruck by Bryant, who was said
to have been playing chess with his bodyguards and drinking Gatorade in
the recesses of lobby on the night of the alleged attack." http://www.bayarea.com/mld/mercurynews/sports/6269910.htm

I really hope they aren't that stupid.

Yes, this sheriff keeps speaking out against Kobe and treating his
statements as fact instead of allegations. The sheriff has stated that
Kobe prevented her from leaving and said he believes charges will be
filed. I bet the DA is loving this jackass.

How can they make a decision when the DA is on national tv 24/7. He
probably still hasn't looked at the case!

Lets not get absurd =)

blurted:

He prolly had a towel over his face because he had about 4 fingernail scratches
from those pink 19-yr-old fingernails on him. Which leads to the DNA evidence
the POlice had on him.

Likely means that he knew it would be ineveitable that his DNA would
be collected, so it was better to submit willingly and cooperate then
to resist the inevetible.

Well, Kobe has a lot more to lose from being found guilty, so he has
motive to lie. But the accuser would have more to gain from winning,
so she has reason to lie. That indicates I can clearly not choose the
wine in front of you.

I wasn't aware that players were supposed to tell the team where they
were at every moment in the off-season

It is now a criminal matter and out of their hand. They do stand to
gain, though, as civil suits are usually more successful if the
corresponding criminal suit was ruled against the defendent. OJ was a
rare exception.
