Default Beware of the Green

While Dolphin fans are rubbing their hands in glee at the Jets losing
Pennington the high fives are a bit premature. Here's the facts about the
Dolphins vs Vinny Testaverde.

In his five years with the Jets Testaverde has lost only one game vs the
Dolphins.
The Dolphins have never beaten him at the Meadowlands. He started last year
recovering from injury and behind an OL that was hurting. Mawae had no training
camp, Randy Thomas had no training camp, both were recovering from off season
surgery and Dave Szott had already been lost to knee surgery. He'll be
operating with a healthier line this year and for the first time in years he
was able to participate in a strong off season program.

The Jets are at NE in game 3 and here again you have to look at hostory.
Testaverde has never lost a game at NE since he was a Jet. In fact, the Jets
haven't lost at NE since 1997.

Twice before as a veteran he starting training camp as a backup. Both times he
led his teams to the AFC Championship game (Browns and Jets).

Heck, even Ray Lucas beat the Dolphins twice in one season as a Jet. Put away
the high fives over an injury to an opposing QB and check Dumbo's record vs the
Jets. History will always repeat itself.

I see the Jets at 2-2 after four games. They'll spot the Dolphins a couple of
games instead of the four they spotted them last year and once again, December
comes around. Have you seen who the Dolphins are playing the last four game of
the season? The Dolphins couldn't even beat Minnesota in December last year.

You write that as if it were true.... more lies. I don't even see that in
the Jets' NG... there are, in fact a post or two from Patriot and Dolphin
fans expressing dismay at this turn of events. The LOW class fans like you
are mostly Jets fans Bob. You are the fellow who spends his days dumping
shit in the NG's of other teams. Most Miami fans don't want a win over the
Jets simply because Intercepteverde is the QB - we hope the Dolphins are
able to pound the snot out of your team regardless. As it stands, you've
simply denied yourself any possible excuse if Miami does win. Good job Bob.
Like usual, you're right on top of things.

And what was the score the last time Vinny played the Fish? 30-3? See, you
seem to not remember thats the only game Vinny has played against us while we
have Ricky.

Your so predictable Bob. Pennington is down for less than 24 hours and your
already rolling out the red carpet for Vinny and having his bags packed for
Hawaii. Classic.

LOL.. Randy Thomas isnt even there anymore. Hate to break it to you but your
O-line ****s ass. Its gotta be hilarious how you spin the week 2 beating thats
comin.

Huh. You should really show us how many times Vinny has played the
Dolphins by himself.

And here I thought that the Dolphins played the Jets at the
Swamplands, not just Vinny....

Of course, while we're talking about history, the LAST time Vinny
faced the Dolphins, he was crushed - both literally and figuratively.

As for the Jets' offensive line, Jason "Turnstiles" Fabini is still
the left tackle, isn't he? Didn't Jason Taylor turn him around more
often than a Times square subway gate last year?

Mawae is back and he's one of the best, but Randy Thomas is gone. Tom
Nutten signed with the Jets, but he realized this summer what a
mistake that was and now he's gone. Szott used to be good, but in the
last 5 years, he's started only 33 games out of 80.

And, of course, your starting left guard is a Dolphins' cast off.

As a result, the Jets' rushing average this pre-season has been 2.5
ypc. And Jets' QBs have been sacked 16 times.

I think you could call that an "offensive" line.

Although, admittedly, Vinny hasn't been sacked in the pre-season. Of
course, he's barely played in the pre-season and his QB rating is
24.7, but hey... why cloud the issue with facts?

Anyone who takes the Patriots lightly this year is in for a rude
shock. Especially the Jets.

If history repeats itself Boob, then that means the Jets should finish
last in the division.
If history repeats itself Boob, by game 4 you will be long gone.
If history repeats itself Boob, how long before you start the injury
excuses?
Too easy Boob.

How many times since 1970 have the Jets won the division?
Where were you hiding after the first 8 games last year?

Really?

at Washington
vs Miami
at New England
vs Dallas

I would have thought you'd spin a tale of 4-0 (even though Vinny was 1-3 last year).

Watching the Dallas D the other night, I wouldn't chalk that one up as a win for
Vinny and the Jets. They may give the old man some fits. Actually, I can see an
Ofer in the making as in 0-4.
