Default Mourning threatens to retire if he doesn't get more playing time

CORAL GABLES - Alonzo Mourning said Wednesday he wants to be more of a
factor for the Heat next season. If not, he might retire.

Mourning, a reserve this season after joining the Heat in March, said not
being on the court during the final moments of Game 7 of the Eastern
Conference finals against Detroit was frustrating.

"I just don't want to go through a whole year again and get into that
situation where we were in Game 7 and not be on the court and helping out,"
said Mourning, who was hosting an event Wednesday to promote the ninth
annual Zo's Summer Groove, which will be July 14-17. "I worked my butt off
to try to be a part of something special and try to make a difference in the
outcome of something. I felt helpless just sitting on the sideline and not
being able to do anything. That's just the competitor in me."

Jesus chris, this guy ****s now and is lucky to be even a minor defensive
contributor on a team in contention, and he is going to bitch about it? Let
him retire already. He won't be missed at all.

Pathetic. I'm ashamed to admit that I used to be a fan of his. Please
just go away.

I think he means he worked his butt off to convince the Raptors that he
was so unhealthy and unable to play that they let him go so he could
ride Shaq and Wade's coattails to a championship. That's the loser in him.

i can understand his frustration. in the past, zo was always on the
court when they were eliminated.
