Ominous sign, indeed
The Miami Dolphins' offseason took an ominous twist, literally, this
week with a serious injury to one of the club's key role players.
Representatives for David Bowens confirmed the defensive end suffered
a torn anterior cruciate ligament in a freak accident, when he jumped
down off a ladder, after changing a light bulb in his home. Bowens
twisted, and landed awkwardly, resulting in the injury.
The knee injury was not yet been announced by the Dolphins
organization, which has done virtually everything right in an attempt
to construct a roster that might avoid the catastrophic collapses of
the last two seasons.
************
Not a good way to start a campaign. That's like us starting with
Charlie Weiss being near his death bed, and Graham coming up lame
almost immediately.
The Dolphins have coaching problems anyway.
How about the play calling at the end of last year's game in Foxboro?
Ricky Williams with over 100 yards being ignored when they needed to
run out the clock? I'm sorry but asking Jay Fiedler to win that game
when you have Williams running wild on a very bad Patriots run defense
is not the brightest coaching move of the year.
(p.s., Is it OK if I post football related posts here?)
