And Matt Bryant was nominated for special teams player of the week.

Kerry is deserving of the honor, but why was Bryant nominated?

I agree. Kerry had a good game. It should've been Feagles not Bryant.

Probably because he kicked a game winning field goal in overtime. But, I
am just reporting that he was nominated: I did not do the nominating.
(And he did not win.)

For kicking the winning FG. Thought I agree with you, he is not
worthy. The game would have never gone to OT if he haven't missed an
easy one earlier in the game. Also, it was Feagle that saved the day
with a nifty hold of a pathetic snap, not Bryant's heroics. If it had
been a 55-yarder than maybe.

I've seen this in several places, but the fact is that this is not
necessarily correct!

If he kicks the FG, 12 go up 24-10. With that score, the Redskins don't try
a 2-pt conversion for their score and we're up by a TD. At the end of the
game, the Redskins would have been trying for a TD instead of a FG. They
had a 1st down at the Giants 19 yard line with 1:44 left. They would have
played the game much differently from then on - being in FG range when you
need a FG is a lot different than needing a TD. And they had plenty of time
too.

There's no telling that the Redskins don't score a TD - even on the 4th down
play they kicked the FG - if they are going for that. The way the Giants
defense played in the second half, I wouldn't have been surprised if they
did.

People seem to think that you can just add points that were taken off the
board through errors at the end as if that's how it would have happened, but
you can't look at those plays in a vacuum like that.

For the record, I am not advocating that he miss kicks in the future either.
