David Ortiz having a career series
I'm amazed they didn't have to go through anyone else to get him.
Granted he probably could be best described as servicable with the
glove, I can think of a handful of teams that could have used a good
DH.
He really started to have his breakout year in 2001 until breaking his
wrist. Looking at his splits from 2001 and 2002, it looks like he was
still getting comfortable at the plate up until the ASB in 2002. Since
last July he's posted an OPS above .935.
