birth of the Matrix

Can you pros out there tell me the history and birth of the Matrix?

i think it was invented by a crazy airsmith from Stratford, Ontario and sold
to Diablo. I remember playing at his field a couple times and him letting
us use his prototype electronic trigger guns for a couple of games.

just curious.

The guy who did the internals design played mostly in Kitchener at my field
(If you're at UW you've probably played at the Arena). . . he was a
machinist that tinkered a lot. Another relatively local guy had a body
design kicking around. A third guy new them both, bought their designs from
them, put them together and sold them to Airtech. That's it in a nutshell.

so swcblues, youre a K-W local? do you know what happened to Extremes
Paintball up in Stratford? i used to play there a couple years back but i
think they are gone now. ive never played at the arena cuz i prefer the
outdoor fields...its a shame Extremes is gone.

There's PB in K-W, I work there once or twice a year, and stay over night,
