Five whole bucks? Damn, son, don't break the bank, whatever you do!

Even if they actually DO shell out 25 bucks for an article(HA! RIGHT!),
twenty five bucks for a few thousand words? At a 2500 word article, you're
looking at a penny a word. I hope you like bologna and kraft dinner for the
rest of your life!

The quality of articles this sort of thing would attract is not even worth
reading. Why bother attempting to snag essentially free writing when you
are only ever going to get what you pay for? Anyone able to write will not
do it for the pittance you're offering, and anyone not able to write will
submit barely legible trash in the hopes that you get desperate enough to
publish it at 5 bucks a pop.

25 bucks is pretty generous. I mean, look at how much work goes into the
editing. Let's just say the average poster is a regular on PBNation. In a
2500 word article you've got to filter out the 800 words describing the
writer's "gat", all the times they use the word's "schizzle, nizzle,
fizzle", etc., punctuation problems, and all the other crap that an Idiot
to English Box would filter and what you got left is a 200 word article
describing the writer's friend's cousin's neighbor's gun.
Yep, 5-25 bucks is more than fair. ;-)

translation services run about 15 cents a word, and that doesn't
require nearly as much subject matter knowledge as writing...
