Anybody read this? I saw it in a used bookstore today for $6.00 and
thumbed through it, it looks like a "pull back the curtain" thing on
the 1992 Eagles. I don't wanna read a hatchet-job on Buddy and the
Eagles, but the other 2 books I read by Bowden ("Blackhawk Down" and
"Killing Pablo") were pretty damned good.

Just looking for opinions.

Many of us here read it ages ago. I think my copy is floating on Lake George
right now. I don't know how you can presume Mark Bowden would give a hatchet


reporter 30 years ago and is just getting around to telling us stories about
Timmy Brown. Oh, the Bowden book is great.

Yeah, that's what I figured. Like I said, I read Bowden's other books
and considered them good and fair, but I'm always leery of sports
books.

Think I'll go scoop it up.

It is somewhat dated but a good read.
