Lighten up greg. The guy has been here for years and deserves everything he
has gotten so far. If you don't want to discuss it fine then don't. But some
of us are still in celebration mode and are not planning on stopping anytime
soon. Personally I think Corey and mikkke should be blamed for everything
that is bad in this NG.....

No. I found it quite suspicious to get the exact email and see it in the
Phillies group. You do NOT *know* it was not him. I don't "know" it was. I
just find it suspicous.


I don't think he will just go away.

You're looking for shit. Until you know it was him, you shouldn't
accuse. Especially since the e-mail notes and usenet posts have been
going on for a long time now. Ignorance is no excuse and we're no better
than him if we falsely accuse. I've gotten literally thousands of those
e-mails and the posts have shown up in groups all over usenet. Read a
bit about it.


So that makes it ok to prattle on endlessly about him? It's getting tiresome.

It may have slipped thru AOL's spam catching system. It could have been
sent via someone else you know on aol who's system was infected. Again,
it's been a fairly common bit of spam for weeks now. Maybe you might
want to read up a bit about it.

Its called Swen. Just do a web search or http://groups.google.com search
for "Swen". Its been around for a month or so. Its a nasty bugger that, as
I understand, is (or began as) a newsgroup bot that scours all the NGs
collecting valid email addresses from the posts (and possibly the headers
too), sending a virus to those email addresses. And of course, the virus
propagates itself, and so on.

M$ does NOT distribute patches or updates via email. If you ever get an
email proclaiming a patch or update from M$, it is a virus.
