in the first Q of both the KC and the TN games and come out shit ass losers in
both. This was the worst exhibition of football today that I have witnessed of
the Steelers in years. We simply gave up.

1 st and G at the end of the game and no pts. That pretty much summed up the
game. If today is anything like the rest to come, Our season is over.

I hate to say it but I pretty much predicted this in the off season. We just have too many
horrible players on the field, and as reserves and crappy play calling that killed last
year's red zone juggernaut.

Yeah -- that last goal-line scenario was a heartbreaker. Why not try Bettis for a couple
of those runs? Amos is just too light to move a pile.

I think Cowher purposely ran the HB dive w/ Amos to see if he could do
it. I'm sure he's as confident as the rest of us are that JB could
push it in the EZ from a yard out---let's see if AZ can "push the
pile." He's still trying to figure out which situation to use which
back in. The game was lost anyway, let's use the situation as an
opportunity for future reference. Remember, Cowher/Colbert are still
undecided that AZ is a feature, every down back.

Here's the scenario: Pit is in a close game and near the goal line. If
Pit brings in The Bus, everyone figures he's getting the ball between
the tackles. If AZ is in, then look for play action, or at least a
pitch to the outside. If AZ shows the capability to bust it up the
gut, then the opposing D can't key on a specific play or formation.

Sadly, AZ failed the test....

Okay...that's a fair scenario, and one I can appreciate. The game was pretty much over at
that point -- so giving AZ a shot to see what he can do in that situation is reasonable.
