Default Stackhouse arrested for assualt

http://espn.go.com/nba/news/2003/0713/1580254.html

The arrest stems from a supposed dispute with the agent over rented beach
property in the Atlantic Beach, N.C., area that led to Stackhouse allegedly
making contact with the female agent.

So we've had Kobe, Stackhouse, Armstrong, and Stoudamire, all arrested in
one week. We should start a pool. Who will be arrested next?

He did get suspended for punching Hornacek in a game and Laettner on the
team plane.

According to the Detroit Free Press, Laettner and Stackhouse apparently were
involved in a card game that got out of hand and threw punches before the
scuffle was broken up. "I couldn't believe it. I looked up and they were
going at it, throwing blows. I wasn't about to get in the middle of it," one
player who was not identified told the newspaper. The Free Press quoted one
unidentified source as saying the players were arguing over $2,000, and
Stackhouse landed some blows to Laettner's face. It said the Pistons intend
to ban card games on future flights.

Or sponsor an NBA All-Arrest Team that can tour the prisons and play
exhibitions.

(I sure hope that team will lose Kobe as a member this week, though!)

You know I have this really absurd theory (oh dear another Jude theory for
the world): Is it likely that those NBAA Players with "explosive
personalities", who have the ability to explode on court, although
troublesome, are what make the NBA great? As for Damon's arrest, I was
telling a friend about it and he wonders if Damon was trying to make some
sort of statement, it's not like damon to be dumb is his remark.

I've never been a Stackhouse fan (though I suppose off
the court he might be a pretty good guy, and who doesn't
want to punch Christian Laettner every once in awhile?)
but the details I've heard and read so far really make
this sound ridiculous. He tried to grab the lease and
missed? Seriously, a supermarket lady handed me my bag
of groceries this morning and scratched me with her Freddy
Kruger nails. Do I have a case?

I can see why she pressed charges--a six-footer making sudden
moves in my vicinity would probably frighten me, too--but I
sincerely hope she has no case.
