I admit to not knowing about the man's wife, but why are you all so
derogatory about Doug Christie's wife? I heard something about that lawsuit
and it seemed like the woman that was a former King's employee was a lying
nutter and that would make any man's wife upset with a trouble maker like
that, but why the slam on Christie's wife? I like Doug Christie and I like
seeing him do good on the court when we need him to step up. I know he's had
a tough year, but Doug seems to be a great guy and he has delivered for the
Kings and the fans a lot in the past. I like him on the team.

To paraphase a recent newspaper interview about the Christies:

1. NO contact with any other female aside from his wife. This includes
speaking, close contact or even eye contact.
2. Jackie Christie demands that no female employees of the Kings or Maloof
Sports be allowed in the team locker room while Doug is there reagardless of
their professional capacity.
3. Jackie is the only wife that flies on the team charter and she and Doug
seclude themselves for the entire flight.
4. When traveling to nearby games or by team bus, Jackie follows in her car
and maintains contact via cell phone for the entire trip.
5. While in Toronto, Doug had his own "locker room within a locker room"
because the team would not exclude female employees from entering.

Can you say insecure, psycho?!

Saddest of all, Doug said that he likes it this way!

Thanks for the list of items. I see no reason why we should Jackie Christie
for these decisions they made together. I have a friend who is a very good
Christian guy who was a well known MLB player. He said to me that women
throw themselves at players all the time, just to get their *** and then
their bank account. I couldn't believe it when my friend divorced, his wife
couldn't take it anymore. I suppose that if I were in such a situation my
wife would be just as protective. Perhaps they have good reason, perhaps
something happened to bring all this about. I don't judge them one bit. At
least she cares enough to protect him.
