As far as training trips go, this was a short one for Richie Frahm and his
wife, Joanie, at Sonics training camp. Nothing like going to the Philippines
two years ago or to Turkey last season.

They go together like a pick-and-roll. His shooting touch may have taken him
to the brink of the NBA, but it's her soothing touch that has kept him from
losing patience in the three seasons since he finished his senior season at
Gonzaga in 2000.

"She just reminded me we were in some place that we could probably never go
if I wasn't playing basketball," Richie said. "She's always there to remind
me that we were playing basketball and traveling, two things we love to do."
