Hockey Fans,
There are 4 marvelous teams in this years semi-finals. It's time to
unite and send the TV executives a message. Like the new rules or not,
it's time to make a statement to insure our sport is not pushed to the
side. Go to any rink in my part of the country and you'll see
literally thousands of kids (and a good number of adults) playing in
hockey leagues. It's hard to imagine that hockey TV ratings are not
higher. On most nights there is nothing on TV more exciting than these
playoff games. Watch. Be counted. Help raise the respectability of
the sport we love. Hockey fans are true sports fans. It's not a game
that attracts a lot of betting action. Think about it. How many
football fans really are fans and not just someone interested because
they like to bet? That won't be the case with most people who follow
hockey.

As far as I'm concerned, it has been already. All during the regular season,
it seemed that there were stretches of days at a time between games on OLN,
even during late in the season when typically, more games would be on tap.
When ESPN covered the NHL, it typically wasn't difficult to find a game
around every other day at the very least, especially heading into the
halfway point of the season.

Also, I though it didn't matter what you did unless you had one of
those ratings boxes hooked up to your TV. If someone can organize
those folks then there would anarchy.
