A pushing and shoving match broke out between McGrady and Casiano at
the end of the first half. It was broken up by players and coaches
from both teams as fans tossed drinks and debris onto the court. Both
teams left the court peacefully, and there were no further
“That’s the difference between the first Dream Team and the rest. The
first were players with class, these are immature kids,” Casiano
said. “They have huge talent, but they need to grow up.”
“The game was getting out of hand and we lost our poise,” U.S. coach
Larry Brown said. “We’re disappointed with the way things turned out,
but we won and we’re going to Greece and we have to finish this thing
“I’m glad something like that got started so we’ll have motivation
going into the next game,” McGrady said. “You don’t want to be in an
altercation like that, but no punches were thrown, there were some
exchanged words, both teams got fired up but left it alone and played
basketball in the second half.”
Earlier, Kenyon Martin taunted the crowd by blowing kisses as he was
booed off the court. Martin shoved Puerto Rico’s Daniel Santiago after
he committed a hard foul against Jermaine O’Neal.

Unlike the first dream team. You mean when Charles Barkley threw an able at
that one players jaw as the teams were lining up at the free throw line.
Cassiano should talk, he was throwing his b*** into McGrady and did this
several times though it was uncalled for. He was upset because McGrady
stole the ball and took it down court, but delayed making the basket.
McGrady said that it was so loud he wasn’t sure if a whistle was blown and
that was why he delayed picking up the ball and making the basket.
As far as the couches breaking up the argument, the Puerto Rican couch
was in the middle of it causing it to get farther out of hand. That
Kenyon Martin push was due to a hard foul by Daniel Santiago.

What this year’s dream team needs is the presence of Dennis F*cking Rodman.
I’m so tired of these sniveling, whining foreign players.

I can’t really comment on your post, since I’m too busy
trying to get images of living, sentient couches reaching
up and grabbing people out of my head.
THANK YOU FOR REMINDING ME OF MY CHILDHOOD FEARS, MR. COTTON!

Certitude is poison; curiosity is life

Daniel seriff 2012-06-26 22:31:35
