I just got my first graphite shaft and noticed that it’s hollow on
both ends. What are you supposed to do with the b*** end? Just leave
the hole there or try to cover it when taping that end?

You get a “b*** end” piece of appropriate length that you
insert into the shaft, just like a blade. You can then cut
the wood end to the proper height for you without cutting
the graphite. FWIW, I found that the balance of the stick
was much better after switching to a graphite blade instead
of a wood one. They lasted much longer too – but the
balance was nicer than having a wood blade at the end of
the really light shaft.

I’d seen those pieces available from online sites where I was
shopping, but had no clue what they were for. That clears it up —
thanks very much!
