Every day I check out the Herald or Sun-Sentinal, I keep hearing great
things about Derrius Thompson. Shoot, the way they’re talking about
him every day, you’d half-expect him to take over the #1 starting spot
While I know that’s not realistic, I’m just wondering if we’re going
to see some of these plays in games or is he going to fade? What’s
everyone thinking? If he does as well as he has, our passing game
could be very explosive this season. Then what will teams do? Take
that 8th man out of the box and let Ricky run wild?
Can these next 38 days go any faster???

He’s played four years in the NFL and has a total of 5 TD receptions. It’s not
like he is a rookie. Since he had more TD receptions last year than Chambers or
McKnight, he appears to be the # 1 WR. He would be playing for the 4th WR spot
if he was on a team like the Jets.

Once again… Horseshit Bob. If he was a Jet WR, he’d be a Redskin. Not that you give a rat’s a** about anything factual, but the report that Thompson is the #2 WR at this point shouldn’t surprise anyone. His numbers from last season are very similar to Chambers’ numbers from 2002. Oddly enough, those numbers are also similar to the guy the Jets DIDN’T lose this off-season…
Player Team G Rec Yds Yds/G Lng Avg TDs 20+ 40+
Chris Chambers MIA 15 52 734 48.9 59 14.1 3 9 2
Derrius Thompson WAS 16 53 773 48.3 47 14.6 4 10 2
Wayne Chrebet NYJ 15 51 691 46.1 37 13.5 9 9 0

Is that why one publication stated if the Jets had Derrius Thompson, he
along with Coles would be starting receivers for them. You could try

If he was a Jet WR, he’d be a Redskin.
That is the funniest line I’ve read in here. Ever.

He would be playing for the 4th WR spot

Here you go B***.
Now you can officially run and hide again.
Derrius Thompson would have been the big possession receiver the Jets
crave opposite Coles, but the Dolphins scooped him up yesterday when he
left the Raidskins. That means Oronde Gadsden is available.

.. Oddly enough, those numbers are also similar to the guy the Jets =
How does Chambers 2TD’s and Thompson’s 4 TD’s compare to Chrebet’s 9 TD’s……
or the astounding 5 TD’s amassed by Laverneous Coles.
Chrebet’s 9 TD’s equalled the combined number of TD’s scored by the Dolphins
#1, #2, and # 3 WR combined. Thanks for pointing out the obvious.

I don’t give credence to Dolphin Digest.
Stoobie 2007-09-21 17:00:52
My wife asked me what was so funny as I sat laughing at that one 🙂
Rajensen088@ao 2007-09-21 17:00:57
Coles 5 TD ‘s has been replaced by Conway’s 5 TD’s which also happens to be
more than the Dolphins #1, #2, or #3 WR. You win games by scoring TD’s, not
accumulating meaningless fantasy football yardage stats.
Rw 2007-09-23 15:41:29
Those are the kind of numbers you get at WR when you have the league’s
leading rusher on your team.
Whytestang@aol 2007-09-23 15:41:30
Your absolutely right b***. They shouldnt even bother playing this season.
The Jets should just be given the championship trophy right now because you say
they will win it by picking and choosing your stats as proof. Now will you
Ljm 2007-09-23 15:41:45
That’s no way to treat an idiot. You have to explain to B*** how to
f*** off. 😉

THE TRUTH HE CAN”T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!

Give it up to euphy… I laughed too.
Christ@saeweb. 2007-09-23 15:41:57
Sounds like he’s minimizing the loss of Coles now. I wonder how long
that’s going to last… I wonder if Chrebet will still get so many
TD’s now that he’s probably the closest thing they have to a go-to guy
and he’ll have the BEST defenders on him instead of the nickel back,
