I would like to propose a new rule for the newsgroup. If a person would
like to start a discussion of a particular topic, I would like it to be
appropriate for that person to state that he or she wishes to monitor that
particular thread to keep the discussion somewhat on topic.

lol…you need to go off and be a moderator on some message board. The main
charm of alt newsgroups is the anarchy…and it works too.

by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful.”

The anarchy? If I post anything off topic like you could do in the 80’s, I
get yelled at.
Oh I see, its only allowable when the “owners” of the ng permit it. Rave

So? It is being polite but no one makes us do so.
The group rules. Each community takes on a form of it’s own. In the lakers
group half the subjects are off topic, it is just considered polite to mark
them as such so people can filter the subject.
It is not moderated and no one owns it. One person can not decided for
everyone how they should post, anarchy is not a bad word.

First, there are no rules. There’s a charter and I know as little as you do
Rave, the problem here is that the Sonics newsgroup isn’t very active so, if
you’re a prolific poster (like you are) you can easily overwhelm the group.
If this were a fantastically popular newsgroup, your OT posts would be a

In short, it’s a street gang mentality. “Yeah, so the street belongs to
the public, but we took it over, so in reality, it’s ours.” Very
amusing approach, coming as it does in asbnll, from the knee-j***

D***…. the cybergang ….That was good s***. Jane invented it, decided on
how we all ganged up on her, believed it, but she was really the one that
decided who the members were to fit her mood.
That guy that got on me after I congratulated the lakes that time was he a
regular with a new name? I thought it might be Brian but not like him to
invent an identity. The name was WBA-

Back in the day you could say pretty much anything short of the f*** word on

In the off season I intend to talk about music, travel, why Oregone sucks
more worser then the suckiest places in Warshington, pile up a bunch of dumn
c*** just because someone gives a rip about netscan numbers and I decided
that dangit this month this newsgroup is moving up to an asbn playoff spot.
In the off season I will definitely talk about the draft for a few days when
we all suddenly think we know w** something about some Cerbian 19 year old
or a high school kid in Mississippi that we have never actually seen play
and on the years it matters how some group of NBA/College stars are
representing for Team USA and such.
In the off season I will engage in talks about free agents and trades by the
Sonics and as interested other teams.
In the off season I will start threads with my version of flame bait.
In the off season I will get into arguments with lesser beings and lower
life forms (Lakersfans…Blazermaniacs).
Once the season starts though…oh H*** with it. I will continue all of the
