I read something interesting in the about.com forum.

Looks like Sheri Pittman may not be eligible to even run for USATT
president, according to USATT bye-laws.

It is not clear that how the USOC even cleared this .......hey but
then
again this should not surprise anyone, since USOC is as corrupt as ,
if not more, than the USATT

I am not a lawyer.
I may be wrong on this

But even if there is even some small truth to this I would make sure I
definitely vote for Dr.Wang or Lilliroos and NOT Sheri Pittman

Because if Sheri wins, this may end up as a court case similar to Al
Gore - GW Bush situation and this could drag on in courts for months
if not years

This would cost both the USATT & USOC money .

The end result would be that only the USATT members end up as big
losers since the USOC historically has proven that it does not give a
hoot about low priority sport like tabletennis.

The net result is that the legal fees would come out of USATT member
pockets.

Section 16 Item B sez

"No one may serve as President more than two consecutive terms.

Section 16 Item A sez

"The President, Secretary and two Vice-Presidents will be elected in
years when the Summer Olympic are held."

Given the two above and Sheri's own admission at her website that
she had been president from 1999. does it not make her ineligible to
run ?

I understand she was elected by the board and not by membership the
first time.

But to me it is irrelevant. She had served two consecutive terms
already (First term when she was elected by the board. Second term
when elected by the membership).

I do not know the year when she was elected by the membership but
again it does not matter.

I do not understand how and why she is allowed to run again.

I truly hope Jiing Wang & Chrisitan Llliroos would challenge this in
court, should Sheri win again. If Blackwell was harassed for simple
failure to be a member, one can make a case here that Sheri is
ineligible, as defined by the byelaws because it does not say anywhere
in the byelaws that "No one may serve as President more than two
consecutive terms by the general membership". If you see it, let me
know.

I think Dr.Wang & Lilliroos should file a court petition (or writ or
injunction whatever……I am not an advocate) to have Sheri Pittman's
name to be removed from the ballot
