No, as you've demonstrated.

And the electoral college also allows a person who wins less of the
popular vote than another candidate to win the election. So both the
electoral college and straight majority voting have their problems.
Thus the idea of "revisiting" the electoral college.

They did the absolute right thing with Elian Gonzalez (I can't
understand how "family values conservatives" can argue against
returning the boy to his natural father). Ruby Ridge was a small-time
action until it went bad. Clinton may have bee in the loop, but I
kinda doubt it. It's not like they were taking down the mob. It was
a small-time weapons enforcement action. The major decisions on Waco
were made by Reno.

If that's the interpretation of "militia" you want to use, yes. But
it's only one of many definitions of militia. It can also mean an
organized army composed of citizens or an reserve force of citizens
for activation in an emergency. In other words, many interpretations
of militia imply some sort of organization, meaning that any given
citizen is not automatically a member of the "well-armed militia."

I'd agree with that. Yes, it would.

I know their motivations: they didn't want to go to war in Vietnam.
Understandable, but pretty ironic, given that Bush is the man who
said, "Bring 'em on," in response to the possibility of Iraqis and
jihadis attacking Americans in Iraq and is also the man who deserted
from the armed forces during war time.

Nope, I'd be right.

Typical Jason. You're not wasting your time with ANYTHING resembling
a fact. Every time you've been challenged to post something besides
blather and invective, you just say you can't waste the time.

Hint: It's because you're an idiot and don't have any facts.

Yeah thats the reason. Whatever it takes to get you to shut up your constant
political babbling and talk football for once. I've grown tired of trying to
convince people like you of anything. Fact is you people have NO power anymore,
at any level, so it doesnt really matter what you think. Hell, you're even
about to lose the Socialist Rebublic of California to a REpublican, HHAHAHA.

I think the word you are looking for there is 'mujihadeen', to use a
phonetic spelling.

I'm a "family values conservative" and I have *no* problem with the
return of the boy to his father. My *only* problem(and not really a big
one considering the outcome) was that it took so long. If the justice
dept had acted immediately, there wouldn't have been as big of a ruckus.
In the Waco incident, since Reno was at the head(no pun intended),
then Clinton was either 'in the loop' or he was not being a good
president( I believe he was aware of steps being taken). *But*...the
death and destruction at Waco, IMHO, could not be foreseen. It was an
unfortunate incident.
Don't get me wrong, I *don't* like Clinton(either one). I think he was
a very bad 'man' and a mediocre president, but the two above incidents
'should not' be held against him. There are plenty of others. :^)
