I'm not surprised the Bucs are favored but I am with
the margin of the spread. The Panthers didn't look
that bad last week, IMO, and their defense did pretty
well against the Bucs last year.

Yea, but you and I both know that the 'spread' is aimed at getting
people to evenly bet both ways.
The Bucs won big, away, on national TV. The Panthers had to come from
behind, at home, against a mediocre team.

And was the first game early, before the offense started to gel, and
the second game with Rob Johnson at qb?

I'll be happy if they win by 10 -- and they certainly
can -- but I'm surprised the odds makers have it
up that big. After all, they beat the Eagles by 17
in a big game at the end of last year (with Johnson
and the offense rolling) and were still underdogs
last week.
