Not to be rude, but how???? For one, the Texan's logo is in the shape of a
bull charging at an angle, whereas USF's logo is straight ahead and
sideways.

If you are referring to the horns in the "U", I can see your point, but
that's a MAJOOORRRR stretch!

If they're going to have copyright problems with anyone, it will probably be
Bully Truck Accessories:

That last logo looked like some sort of "Evil Space Cow" straight out of
"DragonBall Z" or something... But although the Texans logo first came to my
mind to the first time I saw it, I have to agree with the person who posted the
Bully logo link... THAT one is too close for comfort.

.... Unless it was a ploy to get them to be "The Official Truck Accessory
Sponsor of the Bulls!"

Man, this could be a current headline. I've often wondered why it was the U
of South Florida.

Now there is debate on the site of the Polk Campus as they are calling it.
Used to be the Lakeland campus, but now all but one of the possible sites
are out in the middle of BFE, making my drive to any of them no less time
consuming than driving to Tampa. Here I was thinking this would be great
for me to get that second degree (the one I should have gotten to start
with), but they just keep making higher education a pain in the ass.

You have to dig through some links. You can see it at:
http://www.gousfbulls.com/home.htm

It displays as an animated gif, scrolling through several different views.

One part not covered was the sweetheart deal the person that donated the
land got. According to the story all the land was given to the state
making the site very attractive. Otherwise it was just another below
average orange grove.

The key was the parcel that was given was in the center of a larger
parcel the land owners owned and the property suddenly went from sand to
an asphalt jungle. Even as far back as 1967 the area was exploding with
growth. So the property they gave indirectly made them rich many times
over.

Other than scheduling conflicts I wouldn't worry about it. Excepting
senior and graduate level courses the school is a meat grinder anyway.
Take the classes where it's most convenient and the hell with what
division they call it. It's all USF and accredited with the same degree.

BTW, some specialties on a graduate level make take you God knows
where. I believe Marine Biology has a lot of stuff in St. Pete.

Well I feel a lot better now. It feels like the old logo. Whoever did
the work I commend. IMO his art captured the vision well.

Be sure to check this to make sure. Purdue University shares regional
campuses with Indiana University in Indianapolis (IUPUI) and Ft. Wayne
(IPFW). I found out just a few weeks ago that IPFW's degree was different
from the main campus degree in W. Lafayette - somewhat different courses
required, and the degrees state "Purdue University, Indiana-Purdue Fort
Wayne" or "Purdue University, West Lafayette." It also seems that the main
campus won't even recognize some of the courses taught at IPFW, even though
the courses are for degrees on the Purdue side of the house. Same
university, different locations, won't recognize each other's classes.
