Just saw it on the Score. The Bulls signed Pippen to a 2 year/$10
Million contract. Interesting.

They are pretty decent without Pippen. I am not sure how big of an impact
Scotty will have though. He's 38, hasn't played 82 games in quite some
time. His man to man defense has declined pretty dramatically in recent
years.

to be honest, i see his role as that of a player/coach. teach these young
kids (and gosh they are young - and talented) a bit about the mental
toughness, intensity, not to mention handing off dozens of tips about the
weaknesses of players he's defended over the years.

my understanding is that his signing with the bulls was dependent on them
granting his wish of offering him a job in the organization once he takes
his sneakers off.

i think it's a pretty good move by the bulls, they got the money to overpay
so why not?

I bet not having Jabba the Krause onboard any more definitely helped resign him
as well.

I wonder how much of the decline is due to a
lack of interest on his part. He might perk
up in Chicago.

played 82 games in quite some

get the last playoff spot now.

I think he played very well in Portland last year (at least, according to
what I've read from some Blazer fans). The injuries hurt him to the point
where people overlooked his good performances when healthy. Sound familiar?
Sounds like they're going to use him for two things: running the offense,
since Crawford is pretty useless at that role, and player-coach. I'm pretty
sure we can expect to see a more disciplined offense in Chicago next year.

The Bulls could be decent if Curry and Chandler come to play everynight. The
last 20 games of the season Curry was on fire, he must have averaged 18pts
9rebs over that span. And Chandler was up and down the whole season, one
night he'll get 15pts and 13 rebs 3blks, then the next night he'll give you
6pts 4rebs. But with Curry, Chandler, Rose, Pippen, Crawford, Marshal,
Fizer, and Hinrick they have a chance at the playoffs.

That is sort of a "can't fall off the floor" kind of prediction don't you
think?
