Default Malone says will never forgive Jazz for mocking Kobe

http://makeashorterlink.com/?W17624D37

During a stoppage, Jazz mascot Bear answered a fake call that was broadcast
over the loudspeakers. The caller imitated Malone's voice and identified
himself as Mail, saying he wanted to come home, L.A. fans were mean to him
and the Lakers don't pass him the ball.

The call ended with the imitator saying, "I guess it could be worse. I
could be Ko," stopping short of saying Kobe.

It did cross the line into very poor taste, not what you expect in that
part of the world.

I think the real question here is will Malone ever be able to forgive Jay
Leno for basically the same jokes?

Yeah, I can just see him sneering amused over it if he was sill on the Jazz
team...

However I agree with his opinion now... even though I think his reaction is
a little over blown considering his history there... pretty damn tacky of
them to allow that.

In article
<ApjSb.138320$6y6.2692753@bgtnsc05-news.ops.worldnet.att.net>,

It's pathetic that the same audience that enjoys Grand Theft
Auto, Jackass, stand-up, and South Park can pretend to be
offended by this.

I finally did get to hear the skit on Sporstcenter this morning;
it was more offensive and less funny than I had imagined. But
it's hypocritical and silly to wring our hands over it.

Hey Laurel, did you notice the part of the article that mentions the Jazz
want to build a statue of Karl in front of the Delta Center? As a long time
Jazz fan I say forget it. I would rather have a statue of Stockton. That's a
guy who put the team first on the court and in salary negotiations. We never
heard Stockton whine each summer with a "the Jazz need to start showing me
the love", and I doubt Stockton would rip on the Jazz for wanting to erect
such a statue. I think the Jazz have given him enough. Let him enter the
hall as a Laker. I want to honor guys that appreciate it.

I definitely agree about Stockton. He deserves a statue more than Karl.

But Malone will either end his career as an injured Laker or as a
Jazzman. This isn't the first time he's blustered about "never this or
never that." He and Larry Miller will kiss, cry and make up in a
televised news conference within the next two years.
