But what the Canadians did was the antithesis of what they should
have done. In the first half they played a sagging 4-4-2. They had
plenty of people up front to pressure the hell out of China. In the
second half they played like Inter Milan with 10 back in their own
penalty area and gave China a free pass to bring the ball up. I would
guess China out chanced Canada 10-1 in the second half.

There's nothing wrong with playing a long ball, IF you have someone
up front capable of converting it. The girl in the middle [ Sinclair ? ] had
neither the speed nor savvy to justify being there. If anything, take the
young kid from the right side who made some good runs, move her
into the middle, and let her run onto the long balls.

Anyway, a good tourney for the Canadians, I don't know Sweden's team
at all, but the dream dies with the Americans or Germans from what I've
seen.
