Default Weight for Cujo?

I heard it on the Team today, they were speculating a trade of Cujo 8
million to St Louis for Weight 8.5 million.
Detroit needs a solid 2 way Center to replace Fedorov.
St Louis needs a goalie and needs to dump salary also.

It really looks good for both teams.

If this trade goes through it's great news for the Nucks, it's just one less
team to worry about in the Playoffs.

Holland said publicly that he isn't sending Cujo to a western conference
team.

I don't get this one -

1) WHERE would Osgood go? He was acquired at trade deadline, if I
recall. Where would he go?

2) Blues also have Brent Johnson - where would HE fit in?

I would agree, Weight would be a great 2-way center - but I'm not so sure
St. Loo would be doing with another goaltender. Then again - didn't they
have the most goaltenders last year? *grin*

just my $0.02 - if it's worth it.

Osgood could go to Boston....which would make Johnson the backup, I think
one day soon Johnson will be #1 there again.

Last year was a revolving door for goalies in St Louis, this post season
could continue that....

How does trading an 8.5m contract for an 8m contract help them dump
salary? (especially since they have Osgood under contract).

I don't think this works for St. Louis. Obviously, if I'm Detroit I'd do
it in a minute.

No way will it take anyone as good as Weight to get Cujo. Detroit's in
a jam, they *have* to move him before the waiver draft, or they'll
lose him for nothing. It's exactly the same thing as the Osgood
situation a couple of years ago, and they got *nothing* back then.
