Baseball official hints OK for stadium at RFK
A top Major League Baseball official yesterday did not rule out RFK
Stadium as the site for a new ballpark for the Washington Nationals,
buoying hopes for D.C. Council members who have pushed for that
location as a means to reduce costs.

What a great area for a new ballpark. Let's see, where do I go after the
game for a bite to eat.....home. Where do I go before the game for a bite
to eat....home. Don't walk the streets by yourself, and heaven forbid you
park an expensive vehicle for any length of time...it might not be there
when you get back.

I had hopes that this team would allow me to be a fan of at least ONE team
in this city....but the yahoos running this city make it most difficult.

This is really a honky-tonk town trying to play like it is a big city.

I think I am going back to rooting for the Mets. At least they are going to
get a stadium where they want it.

The clowns that run the city just don't get it! Sure they'll pay more up
front for the stadium, but they will collect big-time from the business that
populate the revitalized southeast. Let's get real - the area that RFK in
is a simple (although hoodish) neighborhood with NOTHING to draw folks there
other than the game. No economic development in that area. STUPID STUPID
STUPID
