Default Jim Williams: O's TV now "the enemy" in DC

The Washington Examiner's Jim Williams has more to say about Orioles owner
Peter Angelos and the contentious Washington/Baltimore TV deal.

(Excerpt)
"O's TV, the over-the-air broadcast arm of the team that last year aired
games on UPN 20, is having a tough time getting on the air in DC this year.

"The Orioles TV network, owned by Peter Angelos, as of now has no takers in
D.C. for its 60-game package. It is the same O's TV that Angelos speaks of
when he talks about running a newly formed regional sports network (RSN).

"It is very clear that being the O's TV outlet in D.C. is far from the
popular choice, at least for now.

"Over the past two weeks I have spoken to many people in the Washington
advertising community, and they have said that spending money on O's TV
could be seen as siding with the 'enemy.'

"So for now the score at the moment is Nats no local TV and the O's no TV in
D.C."

might not be able to see the Nats' season opener in Philadelphia on
broadcast TV.

I wonder if Peter Angelos has any idea what he is doing to his franchise.

I am by birth an American League fan and a loyal Red Sox rooter. I would
pay money to see the Sox play in Camden Yard. I would have gladly paid
money to see my glorious Sox in Camden Yard again this year * but not now!
No way.

Angelos can eat my shorts.
