For all those opposed...
For those critical of our defenses capabilities, the following extract
points out something very important - we only have 3 new starters on a D
ranked 5th last year. I'd consider Bowen an improvement as well. OK, so DT
is something of an unknown, but if they work out OK, I for one can't see us
playing worse.
Now if the O can improve (and I think the upgrades at many positions will
help a lot), then I think we can improve, if only a little, on last season.
9-7 or 10-6 anyone?

The plan that defensive coordinator George Edwards outlined yesterday means
that the Redskins will enter the season with three new defensive starters --
Bowen instead of Terrell at safety, and Haley and Holsey instead of the
departed Dan Wilkinson and Daryl Gardener at tackle -- from last season,
when the club ranked fifth in the NFL in total defense. The Redskins also
have a new coordinator, with Edwards promoted from linebackers coach after
Marvin Lewis was hired as the head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals.
